Angie Simpson (agent at Travel Smart) recently enjoyed a vacation out west. She and her husband Jeff visited several National Parks and a State Park. Antelope Canyon was one of their favorite stops on this trip. They also enjoyed Clamping and looking up at the stars with the clear view area over their bed. This truly is a great glimpse of what beauty lies out west! Contact Angie for any of your travel ideas.
Travel Smart owner, Tina Brunck, and agent Shannon Buck recently visited Washington, DC and took a night tour of the monuments. What a beautiful way to experience the city in the evening. As night falls in the capital, all the most famous monuments are lit up, casting a glimmering glow over the city and offering countless photo opportunities. They saw stunning views of an illuminated Capitol Building, Korean War Memorial, Washington Monument, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Monument, Martin Luther King, and the White House.
Tina Brunck, Travel Smart owner, and her husband recently hosted a group visiting Switzerland and Italy. The Scenic Switzerland by Train tour is the perfect way to see Switzerland’s breathtaking mountains, charming mountain resorts, fascinating old towns, and beautiful lakes all while you relax aboard Switzerland’s famous trains. They enjoyed this Switzerland train tour aboard the Glacier Express from Zermatt, viewing picturesque cluster of rustic chalets beneath the majestic Matterhorn. They viewed thundering waterfalls, impressive snow-capped peaks, glacial ice fields, lush meadows, and picture-perfect villages. Lastly, they traveled aboard the Bernina Express from St Moritz to Tirano, Italy. Traveling on the highest railway across the Alps.
Angie Simpson (agent at Travel Smart) just returned from a Norwegian Coastal Voyage on the Hurtigruten m/s Finnmarken. This ship visits 4 - 5 ports/towns each day. While in Kirkenes, we went dog sledding, visited the Snow Hotel and hand fed reindeer. We stopped in Tromso for a midnight concert at the Cathedral. We visited a small church in Trondenes that was built in the 1100's. We crossed the Arctic Circle and were able to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) - which was very high on my bucket list. We also visited Hammerfest, known as the "World's Northernmost Town", and home to the famous Polar Bear Club.
This was truly an amazing trip.
Italy in December
Agents John & Cheryl recently visited Italy in December. The sights are beautiful any time of the year and December can be a great month to visit Italy. Although the weather may be colder, winter in Italy has its own unique charm, especially during the holiday season when many cities are filled with festive atmosphere and decorations.
